# One app download QR code. Two stores.

Share your iOS and Android app with one QR code. Mesh sends visitors to the compatible published store destination, so your poster can stay simple.

## How one QR code reaches the right app store

Imagine a community event app available on the App Store and Google Play. Instead of printing two QR codes with “iPhone” and “Android” labels, its team prints one QR code pointing to a Mesh address. The code opens that address first; Mesh then selects the compatible destination.

Example: one event poster

Printed QR → `go.meshapps.io/[your-code]`

- **iPhone:** the published App Store destination.
- **Android:** the published Google Play destination.
- **Uncertain device:** a page where the visitor chooses a store.

Illustration only: \[your-code\] is a placeholder, not a live download link.

You can also share the same address in an email, on your website or in a social post. The visitor reaches your published destinations without advertising banners or a countdown.

## Create your app download QR code in Mesh

1. **Check access and create an account.** The sign-up form shows the currently eligible countries and access terms. Mesh’s console is available in French and English.
2. **Create a Mesh and add your store listings.** Use your app’s official App Store and Google Play URLs, then publish the destinations you want visitors to reach.
3. **Download the QR code.** Export it as PNG or SVG from the console. It points to the Mesh address, so the same code can serve both platforms.
4. **Test before printing.** Scan with an iPhone and an Android phone. Check the app, store listing and visitor-choice page, then test the QR at its intended printed size.

Start with up to 3 free Mesh. See the [current plans and limits](https://meshapps.io/en-us/pricing)before choosing a paid offer.

## Keep the QR code when a store link changes

A QR code that directly contains an App Store URL always opens that URL. A Mesh QR contains a stable address instead. When a listing changes, edit and publish the destination in Mesh; you can keep the QR already printed on your materials.

This routing is different from deep linking into an installed app. Mesh does not promise to open a specific in-app screen, bypass store restrictions or prove an installation. An official store destination is still required. An HTTPS web fallback is available for eligible cases after ownership verification; manual visitor choice remains the default.

## App download QR code questions

Can one QR code open both the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. The QR code opens a Mesh address, which routes the visitor to the compatible destination you published. It does not contain two store URLs or install the app itself. If the device is uncertain, the visitor chooses a store.

Does the visitor need a Mesh app to scan it?

No Mesh app is required. The visitor scans with a compatible camera or QR reader and opens the link. Downloading the app still depends on the store, device compatibility and the app’s availability in the visitor’s country.

Can I change a store link after printing the QR code?

Yes. Edit and publish the destination in Mesh. The Mesh address and its QR code stay the same. A QR code that directly encodes an old store URL cannot be changed this way; it must already point to your Mesh address.

Does a scan prove that someone installed my app?

No. Mesh reports estimated opens, not app installations. Someone can open a store listing and leave without downloading. Use your app’s own installation measurement to evaluate installs.

## Try Mesh for your app

Keep one address for your iOS and Android destinations. Check the sign-up form for current country eligibility and access terms before creating your account.
